Physiologically, when Oxygen is pressurized the plasma and other fluids are saturated with Oxygen in addition to the hemoglobin. This extra Oxygen saturation increases the percentage of Oxygen in the tissue up to 2000%!
The experience of being in a pressurized chamber is much like the pressure on an airplane, except that you are breathing 100% oxygen. While in this healing atmosphere of pure oxygen, you can listen to music, audio books, or DVD’s while you breathe and relax! (It is the easiest therapy to do!) Some chambers use less than ideal pressurized air and provide Oxygen from a mask. There are portable “bag” chambers that also suffer from limits due to the pressure provided. There are also very large multi-place chambers where everyone is treated at the same pressure.
